Happy Birthday Sandy

My baby sister will be 57 soon. DANG!! That makes me really OLD!! LOLOL

I decided to go with a twist and pop card but I can't get a decent pic of the inside.

The flowered paper is from DCWV. I used my Foil Press to foil and cut the flowers and leaves.

The flowers and leaves are from my #spellbinder's Glimmer June kit of the month.

I used my #WRMK Foil Quill to add the, "Happy Birthday".

Happy Birthday Joel - 2019

My buddy Joel has a birthday coming up right after the 1st of the year. He loves Elmo and I had a lot of fun putting this together for him.

The truck file is an SVG from Simply Crafty SVG'S. Elmo is a Cricut cut. 
The light blue paper needed a little something so I drew the party hats and other items using a Cricut cut (from the Celebrations cartridge?) and my Cricut pens.
I added the sentiments using the Cricut pens and the Baby Steps font.
I knew that I was going to be making it very top heavy so I cut the tires using 110 pound paper, I cut 2 sets of tires and put the second set on the inside just to give the entire thing a bit of extra stability from all of the extra weight I added to it.
I also cut the truck doors out of both craft plastic and 110 pound paper for some added strength and windows.

Happy Birthday Rachael

My granddaughter's birthday is right around the corner. Of course I'm having a senior moment here, will she be 23 or 24? 

Her favorite colors are coral and teal, I picked up DCWV's Coral Couture stack just for Rachael.

I used my Happy Jig for the wire, "Happy". The stamps are from Fun Stamper's Journey and the butterfly is from Hero Arts.

Sparkley Birthday Card

I am really not one to join, "whatever flavor of the month clubs" but I came across one that seemed like a pretty decent deal to me so I signed up for Spellbinder's Small Die of the Month Club. This month's die was this set of 4 border dies:

 

I used the bottom die in the picture for my card.

 

 

I used some coppery, shiny paper for the die cuts. I went shopping in Vegas last week with foil paper on the top of my list. I went to Jo Ann's, Hobby Lobby and Michael's this copper was the best I could do but I think that it works well.

 

I used a copper embossing powder to do a wet emboss on the sentiment and added some pearls to add to the sparkle. Of course it is very hard to see how it sparkles even in this close up, it is one of the few cloudy days we get here in Arizona.



The card base is 5" wide x 6" folded, the copper layer is 4 1/2" x 5 1/2" and the printed layer is 4" x5", I had to cut off the end of the die cut in order to make them fit the card.

Connie Can Crop - Challenge #62 - Anything Goes

It is Anything Goes month over at Connie Can Crop.

This month's sponsor is Treasure Box Designs. They have some really cute SVG's. I choose this skunk gift box to work with.

 

 

 

 

My son had a stuffed skunk when he was young, he didn't go anywhere without his, "Mr. Skunk".

 

The file is a female skunk but I switched a few things around and made it a male skunk.

 

 

I cut out the gift box but cut it, using only the front for this card, I used the entire box for my DT project which will be posted later this month.

 





I added a bit of color to the background with my eBrush then assembled the skunk and added him to the card. I used jewels on his eyes. The sentiment panel was attached with foam pads.

 



 

Flowery Birthday

I found this card at Dawn's Stamping Crafts - Peek-Boo-Shutter-Card. It was actually very easy to make.

I had some problems getting a really good picture of the front so I have posted a few extras.

The scalloped circles were cut with my Cricut and the Cricut Craft Room Basics cartridge.

The stamps are from Unity they are both part of the itty bitty line.

The flowered paper is from Quick Quotes Farmhouse collection. The other papers and bling are from my stash.

The card folds flat for mailing.

Stamp Your Heart Out - Connie Can Crop Monthly Challenge

I used my goodie package to create this card.

 

 

The papers that I cut the banners with are from: Echo Park's 6 x6 Paper Pad: Birthday Wishes.

 

The papers (except for the card base and pink bling) are from the package Connie sent. I didn't have any birthday washi tape or any real cute birthday papers so this goodie package really came in handy. You can see the paper pad and washi tape near the back of the picture.

 

The stamps are from Unity Stamp Co, part of their Itty Bitty line.

 

The card base measures 6.5" wide x 5 .25" high. the banners are all 1.25" wide. You can also see the letter stickers that came in the package.

Happy Birthday Joel - 2017

I really enjoy making these 4 Fold Cards, they are easy, I can use up some scraps and/or smaller sheets that are too small for anything else, and I really like the finished result.

I didn't use any scraps on this one but I was able to use a few sheets of a 4 x 6 stack I have had around forever and a piece of teal cardstock I have also had forever. The rick rack has been around for quite a while too.

 

For the last, "Happy Birthday" I used a stencil, texture paste and some teal glitter.

Tear It Up

Today I have a birthday card that can be for a male or a female.

 

 

Recipe:

 

Papers - all from Quick Quotes, "Sweet Inspirations" including the card base.

 

The papers are all double-sided, the polka dot is on the reverse side of the red.

 

I tore the edges using 2 different edged paper tear-er devices and inked the edges with Tea Stain Distress Ink.

 

The sentiment is an old vellum sentiment that came with my Quick Quotes cardstock.

 

I added some read berries on the top and bottom of the opening edge as well as a few to the sentiment panel.

Happy Birthday Lana

I am sooooooooooooo EXCITED!!!! I entered 3 cards into the Mohave County Fair and all 3 of them are Blue Ribbon winners. I'll post pictures after I pick them up from the fairgrounds Tuesday evening.

Today I have a birthday card that I made for my pen pal Lana in Montana. Now I'm hoping that she doesn't peek at my blog before her birthday.

 

I ran the card base though my eBosser using my Teresa Collins Honeycomb folder.

 

The flower basket stamp is from Plum Purdy, I have had the stamp for 3 years, Renee no longer designs or sells stamps.

 

The, "Happy Birthday" stamp has been in my stash for about 10 years I think. I picked it up at a street fair in Michigan.

 

I inked up the edges on the stamped layers and added some jewels to the corners.

Hi, and welcome to my last project for Silhouette Challenges. Just where does the time go?

My, son will be turning 32 this month so I made him this card. He lives in Tokyo and mailing anything at all to him is very expensive so I tend to keep his cards fairly simple.

This file is from the Silhouette Store, one of my free downloads when I received my Cameo.

 

After I made the cut, I added a piece of cream paper to the background then sprinkled in some red jewels.

 

All of the challenges are always, "Anything Goes" if you made it, it counts so please enter it.

Blue on Blue Birthday

Recently I have really had an itch to actually use my favorite color to create something and this is what I came up with.



I started with a blue card base then I embossed a piece of vellum with a Cuttlebug folder which I received as a gift from Dawn at Designs by Dragonfly. After embossing I used a StazOn ink pad, I ran it over the embossing to give the vellum a little color.

I have been unable to find a vellum adhesive that is actually hidden so I used a few glue dots and covered them with the pearls.

The sentiment panel was cut with a die that has been in my stash forever, sentiment is wet embossed and backed with a lighter blue, adhered to the vellum with foam pads then I added a bow and chomped my corners.

PDE Linky Party - April 2016

I needed a gift box so I pulled out my Cricut Tags, Bags, Boxes and More 2 and my Ribbons and Rosettes cartridges to create this for my April PDE Linky Party project where the challenges are ALWAYS, "Anything Goes" if you made it, you can post it.

 

The stripped paper is from Quick Quotes, the rest are from my stash.

 

I used my Ciruct pens to outline the Happy Birthday and the off white layer on the border.

 

The bling is from Zva Creative.

Joel's Birthday Card featuring my eBrush

There is a very special young man who I correspond with every week, he collects postcards and there are several people who send postcards to him. Joel is autistic but he's a WIZ when it comes to dates, past or present if you give him a date he can tell you what day of the week that day did or will fall on.
Joel has very good taste because his favorite color is blue as is mine.

I used my brand new eBrush to color the cake, I used a stencil from The Stencil Collection (I think that they are now defunct) and my TomBow Jelly Bean markers for the cake.

 

I used a mask to add a touch of color to the stars and sentiment.

 

 

 

Miki's Birthday Card

My beautiful Daughter-In-Law is having a birthday and she loves butterflies.

I used my Craftwell Whimsical Wishes embossing folder and did some paper piecing for her dress. I also added a, "belt" to the dress and some jewels/pearls to the sky.

I cut the butterflies with my Cuttlebug butterfly die and embossed them using the matching embossing folders. I made some extra butterflies so that when Miki opens the card the loose butterflies will fall out. I added jewels/pearls to the middle and folded the wings up.
The dress and butterflies are all cut from some of the beautiful Japanese papers the kids have sent/brought me over the years.
