Flowery Birthday

I found this card at Dawn's Stamping Crafts - Peek-Boo-Shutter-Card. It was actually very easy to make.

I had some problems getting a really good picture of the front so I have posted a few extras.

Outside.

Up close view of the front closure.

Inside.

Close up of the inside.
The scalloped circles were cut with my Cricut and the Cricut Craft Room Basics cartridge.

The stamps are from Unity they are both part of the itty bitty line.

The flowered paper is from Quick Quotes Farmhouse collection. The other papers and bling are from my stash.

The card folds flat for mailing.

Silhouette Challenges Showcase #2

Silhouette Challenges Showcase #2

It is time for another Showcase over at Silhouette Challenges where the challenges are always ANYTHING GOES but you DO have to use your Silhouette for at least part of your project.

My friend Joel is having a birthday soon and he LOVES the Minions. I went shopping looking for Minion fabric and came across this one, it was the only fleece Minion fabric they had so I got enough to make Joel a scarf and my guy is going to be making himself some p.j.'s from most of it. I even got lucky and found the fabric on sale.

I also made him a box card, this is where my Silhouette Cameo went to work.

Almost all of the elements were cut with my Cameo, the box itself was cut and scored by hand.

The pinwheels and stars are dies from my stash, everything else was cut with my Cameo, most of the items were print and cut. The box papers are from Quick Quotes.

THEN!!! I cut a box for the card in a box to fit into, I did all of this by hand.

Please come and join us over at: Silhouette Challenges.

Quick Quotes Friday Challenge #49

I had a lot of fun with this, it was a bit of a challenge. I started with this old wooden planter box, the green pots came with it. I have 2 of these and they have been sitting in my craft room for a few months while I wondered what I should make with them until I came across this month's Quick Quotes Challenge.

Before:

After:

I used some stamps on the sides, this is my first attempt at stamping and coloring on wood and my markers ran a bit. I tied to do a repair but I couldn't get the running problem to stop.

Quick Quotes products used:

All of the papers are: "Designed by Joy" - except for some of the leaves, most of the leaves were made out of scraps I have laying around.
