Stamp Your Heart Out - Connie Can Crop Monthly Challenge

It is time for another challenge over at Connie Can Crop.

This month's theme is Stamp Your Heart Out and the sponsor is:

This month's prize is: a gift certificate from Ruby Martha.

Connie sends out some wonderful packages of goodies to her DT members, I received this goodie package from her. You can find some of these goodies over at Connie's eBay store:

I used my goodie package to create this card.

The papers that I cut the banners with are from: Echo Park's 6 x6 Paper Pad: Birthday Wishes.

The papers (except for the card base and pink bling) are from the package Connie sent. I didn't have any birthday washi tape or any real cute birthday papers so this goodie package really came in handy. You can see the paper pad and washi tape near the back of the picture.

The stamps are from Unity Stamp Co, part of their Itty Bitty line.

The card base measures 6.5" wide x 5 .25" high. the banners are all 1.25" wide. You can also see the letter stickers that came in the package.

Please come over and join in on the fun over at Connie Can Crop.

Falling Leaves

It's that time of year again, the leaves are changing colors and falling off the trees. Here in Arizona they don't do much changing of colors, green to yellow then they fall. It takes until sometime in December for all of them to fall, I do miss the changing colors we had in Michigan.

I created the background by stamping the page with various colors and leaves, the stamps are all from Unity Stamp's, "Grateful Hearts" kit which I have had for about a year and a half to two years.

I used a really old Cuttlebug die to die cut the maple leaves on the sentiment panel, the 2 small leaves on top of the sentiment panel are brads that I removed the prongs from and attached with hot glue. I added a piece of twine on the fold.

I am entering this card into these challenges:

Jo's Scrap Shack - #158 - Cut it up With Twist
Dies R Us # 58 - Leaves on the Trees
DL Art - October Linky Challenge
Just Us Girls - 363 - Word Week - Leaves
Retro Rubber Challenge - Tie Me Up

Unity itty bitty Stamp Challenge

Over at Unity Stamp's (show and tell) facebook page they are having a challenge, you can use any one of their over 700 itty bitty stamps. I had just ordered a few of the itty bitty stamps when they were on sale 3 for $8.99, I thought they went perfect with these little pocket cards I like to make.

Candles and Cake (wit & wisdom).

Smile in your Heart, Cake Wishes.

Smile in your Heart, Fabulous Girl (dresses & sentiment), other Fabulous Girl sentiment and Cake Wishes sentiment.

Did you notice the tag sticking out of the top of the card? This card forms a pocket that is just right for a tag, bookmark or gift card. I used one of the tags that came tucked in with my stamp order, they always stick a little something extra in, (thank you Unity).

After sponging the tag with some Peeled Paint Distress Stain I stamped it using my Jack (ass) stamp set, also from Unity. This set has some really funny sentiments and I love it.

Thank you for stopping by to take a look.

Unity Stamps

Over at Unity Stamp Co. you will find a lot of rather fun and interesting stamps to play with. I saw this set on sale last week and couldn't resist it. I made this card for my bff's September birthday.

The stamps are from Unity's, "Jack (ass)" set, the tag came as a thank you for ordering (I also received another tag and two printed tags).

After sponging the tag with some Spiced Marmalade Distress Stain I stamped my image with black StazOn Ink(donkeys roam free in Arizona especially in this area). I used red StazOn for the sentiment. I added a ribbon to the top and jewels on the bottom. Then I layered with a piece of red which I crimped then put onto a card base using some Quick Quotes paper.

I will be entering this card into this challenge:

Unity Be Inspired Challenge: May 14 - June 10

There are a few different avenues to follow for your project for this challenge, I decided to go with the color challenge.

I started with a 5 x 7 card base to which I adhered a piece of Core Impressions from Core'dinations. This is the type of paper that you can tear, sand or use it as is, it is also embossed. You can't see it from this picture but I did sand the paper. This close up of the embossing and sanding shows the sanding on the embossed ridges.

The stamped panel is an itty Bitty stamp from Unity: WIB - 858 Smile in Your Heart. I won this a couple of weeks ago from a Funday Friday giveaway.

Before stamping the image onto watercolor paper, first I colored the paper with a watercolor dot that I received when I placed an order for a different Unity stamp a few weeks ago, they always put a little something extra into your order.

When the watercolor had dried I stamped the image with Tim Holtz Distress Ink - chipped sapphire then I did a die cut using a Spellbinder's Nestabilities set I won thanks to Alicia at Golden Goddess Designs, Spellbinders and facebook. I also embossed the die cut.

I added some washi tape that my son and his fabulous/wonderful wife  sent me from Japan (they live in Tokyo), some bling from Zva Creative and a few pearls and Queen and Co. Goosebumps from my stash.
