I made an invitation to Afternoon Tea. I LOVE Afternoon Tea and find it to be one of the most relaxing things in the world.

I went with one of my old favorites and made a card in a box. I put the tea pot on an Action Wobble to make it easier to pour the tea.

The tea pot and matching tea cups are from Fun Stamper's Journey. The stacked tea cups are from Cricut's Disney Classics cartridge.
The papers are from Craft Smith.

I used my Foil Quill (BEST toy I have ever bought) to print out the where and when.

I collect tea ware, I have a rather nice collection which has grown out of it's china cabinet so one lucky commenter will win this beautiful tea cup. What do you have to do to win it? Happy Birthday Rachael

My granddaughter's birthday is right around the corner. Of course I'm having a senior moment here, will she be 23 or 24?

Her favorite colors are coral and teal, I picked up DCWV's Coral Couture stack just for Rachael.

I used my Happy Jig for the wire, "Happy". The stamps are from Fun Stamper's Journey and the butterfly is from Hero Arts.

I am entering card into these challenges:

Route 66 Birthday

I needed a male birthday card so I pulled out my Fun Stampers Journey goodies and came up with this one.

The squiggly line is a map of Route 66 and I put a jewel on Kingman, AZ which is where we live about a mile off of Route 66. I used some white ink to stamp it.

The, "Happy Birthday" was typed in Word and printed onto a piece of 8 1/1 x 11 cardstock.

The truck, Route 66 sign and sentiment are all from the, "Hit the Road" stamp set, all were heat embossed and fussy cut (for some reason there is no matching die set for these stamps) everything and adhered them to the card with foam pads.

Route 66 Christmas Card

In October I signed up to become a Fun Stampers Journey Coach. Since I live a mile from Route 66 and live in a Route 66 tourist town I choose their, " Hit the Road" stamp set for one of my Coach Kit items.

Here is the card I made using the truck and one of the Route 66 signs from the stamp set.

The sentiment is from Fun Stampers Journey's, "Holly Jolly" stamp set (I also picked up the matching dies for that set) and the holly die cut is from their, "Medallion Wreath Die Set".

The black squiggly line underneath the truck is Route 66 and I marked our town, Kingman, AZ with a green jewel.

The 2 thin green strips are quilling paper (so much easier than trying to cut it myself).

I used wet embossing on the truck, sentiment and Route 66 sign. Fun Stampers Journey white ink works great!!

Lovely Day DT Project

It is my day to show off my DT project over at Connie Can Crop. This month's sponsor is: http://www.funstampersjourney.com/

Ruby sent these cute items to work with:

I used them to create this card:

I used colored pencils to color the image which I attached to the front of the darling doily. I ran the twine across the middle of the card hiding my join behind the main image. I used foam pads to adhere the image to the card face.

After cutting out the sentiment I layered it onto the white cardstock and attached it to the card. I also added the pearls to the corner. The only thing I didn't use was the cute little clothespin.

The card came pre-cut it measures 5.5" wide x 4.25" high.

Please come and join us over at Connie Can Crop and take part in this month's challenge, "Stamp Your Heart Out". This month's prize is a $15.00 gift certificate to Ruby Martha's online store.

Now for my project.

I call this my, "Bottle of Cheer". I started with an empty Triple Sec bottle and painted it. The first step to painting glass is to give it a good coat of Paint Adhesion Medium first. I have not been able to find this item locally, I got it from Plum Purdy.  It is listed under the "sealers and mediums" link. The best way to apply it is with a sponge.

I also used a sponge to apply the paint in a variety of different colors.

The stamped, "centers" of my flowers are from Unity Stamp Co., their, "feel better soon" kit. After stamping my sentiments I cut them out using my Spellbinder's circle and scalloped circle dies. I also cut the other layers of the, "flowers" using bigger scalloped circle dies. The papers are Japanese craft papers that my kids brought me. I used wooden skewers painted green for my, "stems". Added a die cut butterfly and a bow to finish it off.

 Up next is Ashley.

Stamp Your Heart Out - Connie Can Crop Monthly Challenge

It is time for another challenge over at Connie Can Crop.

This month's theme is Stamp Your Heart Out and the sponsor is:

This month's prize is: a gift certificate from Ruby Martha.

Connie sends out some wonderful packages of goodies to her DT members, I received this goodie package from her. You can find some of these goodies over at Connie's eBay store:

I used my goodie package to create this card.

The papers that I cut the banners with are from: Echo Park's 6 x6 Paper Pad: Birthday Wishes.

The papers (except for the card base and pink bling) are from the package Connie sent. I didn't have any birthday washi tape or any real cute birthday papers so this goodie package really came in handy. You can see the paper pad and washi tape near the back of the picture.

The stamps are from Unity Stamp Co, part of their Itty Bitty line.

The card base measures 6.5" wide x 5 .25" high. the banners are all 1.25" wide. You can also see the letter stickers that came in the package.

Please come over and join in on the fun over at Connie Can Crop.
