Jo's Scrap Shack DT Call

Today I am applying to become a member of Jo's Scrap Shack DT. If you are interested in applying, here is the link with all of the information:  Jo's Scrap Shack DT Call

For my project I went way off of the page and upcycled an old coffee pot to create a home décor item.

The first step was to cover the entire coffee pot with a coat of Paint Adhesion Medium.

This step insures that your paint will stick to the glass and not lift off.

I used a sponge to apply the paint to the pot and when the paint was dry I added a coat of Craft Twinkles which you can kind of see in this picture.

I used an ek Success punch to create the flowers and a couple of dies to cut the leaves.

Wish me luck with the DT call.

It's Christmas in February

For some unknown reason I decided to work with a Christmas file this week, maybe because I really like this file.

You get 3 large and 2 small images of each saying for a total of 10 images on the page and you can print up as many as you need. These make really cute Christmas cards, I think that using them for a Christmas banner would also be really cute. I decided to make up a few Christmas cards so that I'll be ahead of the game this year.

I used 8 1/2" x 11 Kraft paper, getting 2 cards out of each sheet of paper.

You can't see it very well in the pictures but I added some gold Craft Twinkles to the stars before adhering them to the cards. The Craft Twinkles show up a lot better in person and add a bit of sparkle to the cards.

On the inside I used the smaller images...using the other sentiment on the inside...The "Merry Christmas" on the outside, "Merry and Bright" on the inside.

I also chomped my corners and added some pearls to the outside.

Ewe-N-Me Printables Halloween Cards

Hang tags are so versatile and jars are really popular right now for crafting so when I saw these hang tags with jars on them I couldn't resist the temptation to play with them.

These are perfect for Halloween cards.

After printing my files I cut them out and went to work.  I put some twine around the lids and added some googley eyes to the pumpkin, the die cut pumpkin and spider are extra cuts from previous projects. A couple of crow buttons that I painted with black chalk paint and added some eyes to.

More leftover cuts from previous projects plus a couple of black jewels.

I added some star buttons on this one that I painted with black chalk paint then added some craft twinkles to.

All of the sentiments and buttons are from Plum Purdy.com

I cut the banners from papers I had leftover from cutting out the cards.
