I have been having so much fun using Deena's printables to create my Christmas cards, this time I also made a couple of bookmarks to go with the cards.
 

 
They look good enough to eat.
 

 
I backed the bookmarks with the same color blue cardstock I used for the card bases then I inked the edges. On two of them I punched a hole with my Crop-A-Dile and added a string, I used the other 2 on the cards.
 
You can't see it in the pictures but I used a snow embossing folder on the darker blue cardstock and inked the edges then I layered everything and created the cards. Very fast and easy quick project, cute for Teachers or any readers on your list.
 

Bookmarks & Gift Cards

Happy day after Thanksgiving, I hope that everyone had a wonderful turkey day.
 
Once again I have been busy playing with Deena's wonderful printables. I love these bookmarks, something keeps drawing me to them kind of like a moth to a flame.
 

 

You get two of each bookmark for a total of 4 on a page and you can print as many as you need. They make a nice little gift for any readers you know.

 

 

I made 2 cards and have 2 more bookmarks to give as gifts. After printing the file, I used some double sided tape on the back side and adhered a piece of Kraft paper to the back then I cut them with my paper trimmer and inked up the edges a little.

 

After adding a strip of dark orange paper I wrapped a piece of autumn leaves ribbon. I also punched a hole in the top of the bookmarks and added some twine. The bookmarks are adhered with foam tape so the recipient will be able to remove the bookmark and use it if they are very careful. A few sequins finished them off.

 

 

With these fall sheep hang tags you get 3 each of 3 different designs for a total of 9 tags and you can print as many as you want.

 

 

I was going to make some notecards but decided that gift cards would be nice. I also made envelopes for the cards with my We R Memory Keepers Envelope Punch Board.

 

I used scraps for the project, the card bases are 7" (before folding in half) tall by 3 1/4" wide. I scored and folded them at 3 1/2", added a strip of brown paper and the sheep images.

Today I am having fun with these Thanksgiving Post Cards - Printable Hang Tags:

After printing and cutting out the images I layered them onto burlap, then attached them to the card bases and added some sequins.

 

These make really cute Thanksgiving Cards, invitations to Thanksgiving dinner, a set of note cards for the hostess are my top ideas.

 

Then I got out these cute bookmarks, when I was a little girl I always wanted Raggedy Ann and Andy dolls, Santa never brought me any but now I have these super cute tags to play with.

 

 

 

 

 

These were REALLY easy, all you need to do is print the images, cut them out, ink the edges if you like then layer them onto coordinating papers, the papers I used are all scraps. Punch a hole, add an eyelet if you like (my eyelets would not play nice with me so I didn't use any) and add a piece of twine.

 

Not only are these cute bookmarks, they would also be great tags for gifts and place settings for Thanksgiving dinner, putting the guest's names on the backs. 

 

 

 

 





 

Autumn Bookmarks & Thanksgiving Tea

I have two projects again this week. First up are these really cute bookmarks.

You get 1 of each bookmark, a total of 4 and you can print as many as you need.

 

Deena's files are so easy to work with, you can print, cut and assemble these in about 30 minutes. After printing them out (I went a little out of the lines on the last one) I inked up the edges then I used up some scraps of fall papers to back the bookmarks with (one is mounted on black so you can't see it in the picture). I also punch holes in the tops, add an eyelet and a piece of twine.

These would make nice teacher or hostess gifts.

Now it is time for a Thanksgiving Tea Party, actually more of a Black Friday Tea to give everyone time to take a break and get revived by tea, scones w/lemon curd, tea sandwiches, fresh fruit, tiny deserts and chocolates. I'm going to stay home and make tea while everyone else is out fighting the crowds.

 

 

 

 

 

This cup is from the Queen Anne line of bone china, it was made in England but my book which was published in 1991 doesn't have the exact same marks that match the bottom of my cup, the markings I have are a combination of a couple of different marks Queen Anne used. However the last Queen Anne mark they have listed says, "1959+". It was made sometime after 1959 and I don't know is this line is still produced.

 

 This cup is from Royal Stafford and once again I don't have the exact marks that are in the book.

For this simple invitation is very easy to make, I used a sheet of 8 1/2" x 11" brown cardstock, I cut it in half so that I had two pieces of 8 1/2" x 5 1/2". I scored it at 4 1/4", then I added a scrap of dark pumpkin which I embossed with a Cuttlebug folder from my stash. I chomped all 4 corners of both the card base and the pumpkin layer then I added a Thanksgiving Greetings Tea Bag on top, added some sequins and pearls. The sentiment was an extra that I had previously printed on vellum with my printer then layered onto a scrap of Kraft paper and adhered with foam pads.

 



 

Mother's Day Cards

Mother's Day will be here before we know it, these pretty bookmarks make great Mother's Day cards.

 

 

You get 4 bookmarks total, 2 of each design. These are very easy to work with, all you need to do is cut them out. I also cut a piece of chipboard and layered mine up, I used all of the bookmarks, putting 1 on the bottom, chipboard than the 2nd bookmark (Lilac on Lilac and Lavender on Lavender) on top.

 

 

After layering them up I punched the holes in the top and added a piece of twine. I used my paper crimper on the card face and a Cuttlebug embossing folder (butterflies) with some Core'dinations paper, I sanded some of the embossing along the butterflies, "trails".

 

I also added a small wood butterfly to each bookmark and a jewel to the center of the butterflies. Sequins and pearls on the opening edge and used my only Mother's Day stamp on the sentiment.
