Happy 5th US Anniversary

My son and his wonderful wife will be celebrating their 5th US Anniversary at the end of October. The beginning of December they will be celebrating their 5th Japanese Anniversary. This card is for their US Anniversary, I'll make another card for their Japanese Anniversary.

The card base is Bazzill Basics.
The blue strip is some Japanese paper the kids brought me on one of their visits. I embossed it with my Cuttlebug but the embossing is kind of hard to see in the pictures.
I cut the 5 with my Cricut and Tie the Knot Cartridge.
The jewels are from my stash.

HIMCR #196 - Freestyle - Shop Pumpkin Spice

HIMCR #196 - Freestyle!

The sponsor is Shop Pumpkin Spice!

The giveaway is a bundle of goodies from Shop Pumpkin Spice!

My son and his wonderful wife who is without a doubt the BEST DIL EVER live in Tokyo, we keep in touch through email, snail mail (on occasion) and Skype. These kids are up to SOMETHING, I'm just not sure what I'll find out this weekend during a Skype session which they requested. Not knowing what to expect from them, I thought it would be fun to have these pins on hand just in case there is a little one on the way. Right now my thoughts are: little one on the way or they will be stopping by on their way home from a planned trip to Belgium, Paris and London this summer. I have been on pins and needles all week wondering what these two little monkeys are up to.

Recipe:

Bazzill Basics papers
Cream paper scraps
DC WV Adhesive Fabric (layered onto the hearts, I added a bit of color with my eBrush)
Ribbon, tulle
Baby embellishments
Cricut Ribbons and Rosettes cartridge
Cricut Beyond Birthdays cartridge
Pin backs
Adhesives including glue gun

I used the Heart 2 cut at 2.5" to cut the rosettes and medallions, I used 2 pink papers and 2 blue papers. After assembling the rosettes I used the glue gun in the center to hold them together and added the heart medallions as well as circles on the backs (not pictured).
Then I added my embellishments, ribbons, tulle, etc. as well as the pin on the back.
I think these would be really cute for a baby shower.
