DT Day with Connie's Crafty Cart

Today is my day to post over at Connie Can Crop.

 

The papers and, "Thank You" I used all came from:

 



The card folds at the top.

Card base measures: 5" wide x 5.5" tall.
The yellow layer was embossed with my Cuttlebug. The circle and scalloped circle are Spellbinder's dies. The ribbon and pearls are from my stash.

Inspiration Picture

I am using supplies that Connie sent to me from her store: Connie's Crafty Cart.

 

 

I was inspired by the blue sky, green grass and flowers. 

I used my Gelli plate to create the background, I used 2 different blue paints on the plate, when the paint dried I used a background stamp and StazOn Jet Black ink to stamp the flowers. I also added a piece of green and blue checked ribbon from my stash.

Here is a close up of the background.

The lettering and green paper are some of the goodies from Connie's store.

I never seem to have a, "Thank You" card when I need one so I am trying to build up a few.

Joy Fold Card

I came across this card fold over at Blog Quick Quotes. I like the fold and had time on my hands to I made 2 of them today. I decided they should be, "Thank You" cards because I never have one when I need one.

 

 

 

All of the patterned papers are from Quick Quotes collections. I added a button to help keep the card closed and a bit of bling.

This is my second post for 2 Creative Chicks , the challenges are always ANYTHING GOES!! That means anything that you craft is welcome.

I needed a quick Thank You card, I whipped this one up with my Cricut and the Beyond Birthdays cartridge.

 

The washi tape is from my kids in Tokyo. All of the papers are scraps from my never ending pile of scraps.

"Just Us Girls" Challenge - 326

I came across this challenge the other day at, "Just Us Girls" Challenge blog and since it uses my favorite colors (white, light blue and dark blue) I decided to join in the fun.

I never seem to have a, "Thank You" card when I need one so I decided it would be a good idea to make a couple to have on hand. However pretty much any occasion will work for this card. 

 

I quilled the hummingbird and flower using the combing technique. The tool used in the combing technique looks like a comb.

 

I want to start using more quilling in my projects, it is one of the oldest forms of crafting and is making a come back.

Due to some printer issues I don't have an image from A Day for Daisies to work with so I went freestyle.

 

 I made this for my girlfriend Renee, she sent me a big box of paper crafting goodies, I thought that I was dreaming there were so many wonderful items in the box. I should have taken a picture of it but was so stunned by my wonderful surprise. Most of this card was made with items from Renee.

 

 I decided on an accordion card, this is 11" wide x 5 1/2" tall.
