DT Day with Bugaboo Stamps

Today is my day to show off what I have made with my image from this month's sponsor: Bugaboo Stamps over at Connie Can Crop.

I choose this cute little squirrel to work with and I decided to stick to this month's color pallet.

I used chalks to color him then I added a bit of Glazed Dimensions to the hearts and little highlight areas of the acorns. I used Wild Honey Distress Oxide on the edges.

The card measures 5.5" wide x 4.25" tall. I added a piece of fall themed washi tape, a bit of twine and a few pearls to finish the card off.

Please come and join us for this month's color challenge at Connie Can Crop. Only one more challenge after this one.

DT Day at Connie Can Crop - with Bugagoo Stamps

Today is my DT Day at Connie Can Crop. I had this really cute sunflower digi stamp from BugabooStamps to play with.

Once again I did my best to follow this month's challenge theme of Use Your Stash.

The colored pencils I used to color my image have been hanging around since 2011 or 2012. I also used a Crafty Secrets Creating with Vintage CD to print the flowered paper on the back of the bookmark.
The stamps I used on the back for the sentiment are from Inky Antics, I have had them since 2012. The flower stamp is from Hero Arts and a new item to my stash but they were on clearance so they have been in stock at the store where I bought them for a really long time.
I also added some Stickles to the flower centers and I have had them since 2010.
Please come on over to Connie Can Crop and play along with this month's Use Your Stash Challenge.

Connie Can Crop Challenge # 60 - Use Your Stash

Time for a brand new challenge over at Connie Can Crop. This month's theme is, Use Your Stash.

This months sponsor is BugabooStamps.

I dug deep into my stash to follow the theme all month, this is my first Use Your Stash project.

The papers are from Boxer Scrapbooking (?) I think that was the name of the company, I have had these papers since the 2011 Great Lakes Mega Meet.

The pearls are from Queen and Co., I got them at the 2012 Great Lakes Mega Meet.

The stamps are from DoCrafts, I think that I received them in 2014 or was it 2013?

BTW, the little bit of a crooked sentiment panel on the paw print card is, "artistic license", that's my story and I'm sticking with it.

Please come and join us at Connie Can Crop and Use Your Stash!!

Anything Goes #176

Time for another Anything Goes challenge over at Jo's Scrap Shack. This week's sponsor is Bugaboo Stamps.

I received the, "Coffee Time" file to work with but since I'm an avid tea drinker I wanted it to look more like, "Tea Time", my favorite time of day.

The sentiment on the outside is from my stash.

The inside sentiment was part of the original file.

Please come on over and join us in the fun at Jo's Scrap Shack

I have two Christmas cards to share with you today. They are both very easy to make.

Mini Christmas Card in a Box

Strips of card with a width of just under 2.5 inches
Craft knife, ruler and cutting mat
Gelatos
Chipboard (I used an empty cereal box)
Scraps of craft paper and ribbon
Mini tag
Distress Ink

1.Cut out letters, I used Cricut’s Tie the Knot cartridge and the Monogram feature @ 1 ½” and the Monogram shadow. Assemble letters.
2. Cut 17 - 2” squares, I used scalloped squares.

3. Cut out several strips of card with a width of 2 1/2 inches. Score the card with a craft knife at intervals of just under 2 1/2 inches and then fold it to form a concertina. Color the plain side of the concertina folded paper, I used Gelatos.

4. After Gelatos have dried, glue the letters in place, leaving a space after, “Merry” and another space after, “Christmas”. Decorate the blank spaces any way you want.

5. When the strips are all ready to be glued together, make sure to overlap the strips at the back.

6. To create the cover, I cut out two thick pieces of card slightly larger (about an 1/8” larger all the way around than the pages inside.

7. Cut two squares of paper at least half an inch larger than the two squares cut in the step above. Use the larger squares to cover the two squares folding the edges and trimming with a craft knife.

8. Use scraps of gold ribbon to wrap around the cover and glue them at the back.

9. Write a greeting on a small tag. Use Distress Ink to go around the edges of the tag. Attach the tag to the cover using a small piece of gold thread, tying it in a bow.

10. Glue the inside pages to the covers using craft glue and allow to dry under a weight, such as a pile of books.

11. Make a box for the book to fit inside and you’re done.

I got the original idea here, you can see how to make the card and box. I made several changes to make the project fit my supplies.

And now for the Star Book Card:

Again, I didn't come up with this idea all by myself and I do like to give credit where credit is due so.............
