Sketcn - n - Scrap Sketch #68

It is sketch time again over at Sketch - n- Scrap. Since Christmas is coming I made another Christmas card. I love this sketch, it was a lot of fun to play with.

The card base is Kraft paper, the stripped paper is from Craft Smith, the other papers are all scraps from my ever growing pile of scraps. The flower is from my stash along with the pearls and sentiment.

Christmas is coming

I decided to get a head start on my Christmas cards and play along with a challenge over at Sketch - N - Scrap.

I turned the card because that was the way the paper I choose goes. All of the papers are from Craft Smith.

Detroit Red Wings/Phoenix Coyotes 1-14-16 Game

We are diehard Detroit Red Wings fans, every year we purchase the NHL Hockey Package so that we can see all of their games way out west. Last Christmas my guy's daughter surprised us with tickets for a game between our Wings and the Phoenix Coyotes. She also gave us a gift card for a hotel room (175 miles away on the oddest 2 lane highway we have ever been on) and a parking pass putting us right by the stadium doors.

When we arrived at the stadium there were more people wearing Wings jerseys than Coyotes jerseys. Our seats put us with a lot of other Wing's fans. Our chants of, "Let's go Red Wings, let's go" were a whole lot louder than the chants for the Coyotes.

It was a really exciting game, when the 3rd period started the Wings were down 0 - 2 and ended up tying up the game which then went into overtime and the Wings won. HORRAY!!!!

This page is based on this sketch by Sketch - N - Scrap for their current challenge - #106.

I used a picture of the pregame warm up and the scoreboard with the final score.

I am going to enter this layout in this challenge:

Sketch N Scrap #72

I haven't had much time to enter any challenges lately but when I saw this sketch over at Sketch N Scrap I decided that I would make the time and use the pictures that I took of our New Year's snow storm.

I really love the double page layouts and I had plenty of pictures to use. I had a hard time deciding which one to use.

The top picture is our front porch, on the bottom we have our view out the back, can't see much of the view due to the very, very low clouds that day. The last picture is looking down our street, completely snow covered.

Top picture is the sunrise over the mountains out back on New Year's Day, on the bottom is another view out the back and the icicles that formed on our bamboo shade that we use during the summer.

Recipe:
Cardstock
Vellum,
eBrush
Spectrum Noir markers
Cuttlebug snow embossing folder
Snowflakes
Snowflake brads (I cut the prongs off and adhered with Glossy Accents)
Imaginisce jewel setting tool and jewels
Close to My Heart Assorted Edges stamp set
Ink
Ribbon

After running the vellum through my Cuttlebug I sprayed it with Spectrum Noir marker #TB3 using my eBrush
I also used a mask, eBrush and Spectrum Noir marker #IG2 to add a little color to the title and subtitle.
I did my best to follow the sketch to the letter but also did a few little changes to it.
I used Cricut's Southwest Font for my title and subtitle.
