Papercrafter's Corner Week #169

I really enjoyed playing along with Papercrafter's Corner Week #169 this week.

Here is this week's inspiration photo:

 

I was inspired by the colors, heart, chevron lines and devilish look .

 

 

The paper has been in my stash for a long time, I printed it with my Imagine when you could still get ink for them.

 

The heart is from Cricut's Love Struck 2010, I added the chevrons with a stencil and my eBrush which I couldn't find at first because I had cleaned the carpet in my craft room and I had stuck it in the container that holds my punches in order to get it out of my way for cleaning. That teaches me for cleaning in here. The picture is from my son's US wedding, the look on their faces is the same look David would get when he was up to no good as a youngster.

St. Patrick's Day Gift Bag and Card

St. Patrick's Day will be here soon and I have started making a few items to share with my friends. Today I worked with the Shamrock Seeds Feedsack Printable

 

You get 3 different sizes and it includes the reversed images to use for iron-ons. I haven't used an iron-on for many years and I had forgotten how easy they are to do.

 

I got out a lot of my crafty toys to make this including both my Serger and regular sewing machines.

 

 

I started with the gift bag, cutting out one of the reverse images and a piece of fabric from my sewing stash.

 

Using the instructions that come with your transfer sheets, print your image and iron it onto your fabric. Then I used my eBrush and one of my shamrock stencils to add some shamrocks to the gift bag. I Serged the seams and made a casing on the top for the ribbon to go through with my regular machine. Then I punched some holes into the casing and ran some green ribbon through it and added a couple pieces of the leprechaun's gold.

 

 

 

For my card I started by spraying my papers with 2 different shamrock masks and eBrush.

 

 

After spraying the papers I cut the card base to measure 5 1/4" wide x 5 1/2" tall, the solid green layer is 4 1/4" inches wide x 4 3/4" tall. The light olive green layer measures 3 1/2" wide x 4" tall and the Shamrock Seeds layer is 2 1/2" wide x 3 3/4" tall. I chomped all of the corners with my Crop-A-Dile Corner Chomper using the Scalloped side.

 

 

On the inside I stamped a shamrock and added a vellum envelope full of, "shamrock seeds".

Angel Love Tags - Ewe-N-Me Printables Blog Hop

Deena made this cute file for me to work with:

 

Angel Love Tags: you get 6 tags total, 3 each of 2 different sizes. I used the larger size for my Valentine card.

 

 

I cut out the tag and inked the edges with black StazOn ink, I also cut a background layer for it and also inked that edge. I punched a hole in the top and added my twine.

 

For the background I made a mask and sprayed it with a peach Tombow marker and my eBrush.

 

I added a piece of washi tape to the bottom (my kids in Tokyo sent it to me). I cut the peach heart with my Cuttlebug and Sizzix Primitive Hearts #2. The bling is from Zva Creative. The tag is attached with foam squares.

This hop will run for three days Feb. 6th, 7th and 8th, 2015

Valentine Greetings - Ewe-N-Me Printables

This is such a beautiful file that I just had to work with it. Valentine Tea Bag Envelope has a lot of possibilities and my first idea was to make an invitation to a Valentine Tea Party involving my dolls in their sandbox and their forever tea party but I decided to show my sane side instead and went with a card.

 

You get 2 tea envelopes on the page, all you need to do is cut them out and assemble them.

 

I cut mine out using just the front and back panels. Then I laid out my cardstock and go it ready to spray the heart background with my eBrush.

 

 

Of course I used one of the masks/stencils that I designed and made.

 

I added some Glazed Dimensions to the rose bud and the, "V" and "G" in the sentiment to give it a little shine, added a piece of ribbon I found while clearing out a box and 2 hearts from Queen and Co. I ran the pink paper through my eBosser using the Delicate Dots folder, attached it to the front of the card and added my Printable to the embossed scrap.

 

 

 

 

I stamped the inside sentiment and attached the back side of the tea envelope inside the card.

Back in Michigan I actually had real sand in the box but I haven't added any since our move to Arizona. My Dad made this for me about 15 years ago, this little sandbox is one of my most prized possessions.
