Happy Birthday Lana

I am sooooooooooooo EXCITED!!!! I entered 3 cards into the Mohave County Fair and all 3 of them are Blue Ribbon winners. I'll post pictures after I pick them up from the fairgrounds Tuesday evening.

Today I have a birthday card that I made for my pen pal Lana in Montana. Now I'm hoping that she doesn't peek at my blog before her birthday.

 

I ran the card base though my eBosser using my Teresa Collins Honeycomb folder.

 

The flower basket stamp is from Plum Purdy, I have had the stamp for 3 years, Renee no longer designs or sells stamps.

 

The, "Happy Birthday" stamp has been in my stash for about 10 years I think. I picked it up at a street fair in Michigan.

 

I inked up the edges on the stamped layers and added some jewels to the corners.

I made this for Taunya over at Daisies Girl to thank her. I joined her Happy Mail For followers Readers and received this wonderful birthday surprise. I think that these are Paper Temptress papers I tend to hoard these because the papers are quite heavy duty and very easy to work with.

 

My sentiment is from My Craft Spot's Happy Thanksgiving set.

The rose and acrylic glass are from my stash of things I picked up at the last Great Lakes Mega Meet I attended. The jewels are from Imaginisce and the twine is from my stash.

I like snow globes so I choose this image from Digi Digi Doodle to work with. I colored it with colored pencils and chalk.

 

All of my papers are scraps from my stash which I layered up and chomped the corners then I added Imaginisce jewels. It is hard to see on the picture but I added some Stickles to the centers of the snowflakes and the snow people's hats and scarves.

I didn't double check this week's challenge.....so I don't have all of the layers that the other girls do. This is an anniversary card for my son and his wife.

 

The pink background paper is core'dinations.

 The pink print paper was given to me by my son and his wife who live in Tokyo, the stickers are also from the kids. All of the stickers except for the flowers and dots are a set of Japanese wedding stickers.

I added the Imaginisce jewels and printed both of the sentiments with my printer.

Yes, love IS in the air my longtime feller and I will be getting hitched this summer and I thought that this image would be prefect for the cover of our mini wedding album. I made a card this time but it just may be used again for our album.

 

 

 

I definitely need someone to push my reset button, I just can't seem to get away from using blue, blue and more blue. All of my papers are scraps again but that darned pile doesn't seem to be getting smaller yet.

 

I printed and colored the image, backed it with a piece of light blue trimmed with the wavy blade for my Your Story trimmer. The card base was already scored and folded, just the right size for this project. I added a blue butterfly from my stash, a few sequins and Imaginisce jewels, a piece of twine, chomped my corners and the card is ready for whatever I decided to use it for.

I really haven't had much of a chance to use blue in my crafting until recently and now I seem to be on a roll with it. It is my favorite color so someone might have to come by and push my, "reset" button to get me to use a different color.

Every piece of paper I used is a scrap but my scrap pile isn't any smaller.

 

I didn't color the butterfly but I did change the outline color to blue then I added some blue pearls from my stash. I used a Spellbinder's die to cut the image out and backed it with a scrap of blue (flip side of the outside paper). I added a few sequins and adhered it with foam pads.

 

The sentiment is from my stamp stash, I wanted to use blue ink on it but the brand I have wouldn't dry on the vellum so I used my black StazOn ink.

 

After chomping the corners I added some blue Imaginisce jewels.

Imaginisce jewels and jewel setter

Colored pencils

Chunky glitter

Sentiment is from My Mine's Eye 12 days of Christmas collection

Adhesives, foam pads

Corner rounder

 

Print and color image, round corners and adhere to silver layer (I wish I had cut the silver a bit bigger and embossed it). Adhere to card face, card measures 6" wide by 5 1/2" tall when folded (fold is on top).

Add jewels where you want them, I put them on the scarf and the corners of my layers. Add the glitter to bottom.

I stamped my sentiment onto a piece of acetate then put the white paper behind it, I wanted a bit of shine on it that's why I used the acetate and I had a scrap to use up. Attach sentiment with foam pads.
