I think that we are back home........

After being on the road for a straight month from Arizona to Michigan and back and 4,000+ miles added to the Goldwing's odometer we returned home on 8-12 sometime in the early afternoon. Ever since then I have been a complete and total slug, being out on the bike in the hot, hot sun for days on end took a whole lot more out of me than I thought that it would.

I think that I am finally starting to get back into the swing of things so to speak.

Here are a few pics of our travels:

Getting ready to hit the road.

My bank robber look except that my face isn't covered.

Riding into the sun, that's what happens when you are riding to the east.

Route 66 outside of Kingman, AZ.

I've been working on the railroad all the live long day...Track repairs going on in Seligman, AZ.

Up in the mountains outside of Flagstaff, AZ.

Just riding along, singing a song....I stole that from Lucy and Desi's movie, "The Long, Long Trailer".

Sign at New Mexico rest area.

It was a nice rest area with covered picnic areas but don't go out in the desert or on the rocks.

We found our first night out that our goal of reaching Albuquerque, New Mexico on the first day (about 480 miles from home) was a bit too ambitious, we were so darned tired that after ordering in some pizza we fell asleep.

Then the second day out we found that since we had gotten such a late start (sleeping in and having to take showers) that we only went about 180 miles before it was just too darned HOT to go on for the day so we got another room.
