HIMCR - Blogiversary #2 - KISS! Keep it Simple Sweetie!

HIMCR Blogiversary #2 - KISS! Keep it Simple Sweetie!

This just basically means to what it says, just keep it nice and simple or clean.

AND have fun!

The sponsor is PaperTemptress!

The giveaway is a $20 Gift Certificate to PaperTemptress

I made this card for my friend Pat who fell and broke her wrist a few weeks ago.

The Paper Temptress papers are so beautiful, they really shimmer and shine, close ups below show some of the beauty of these papers.

I cut my card base then each subsquient layer was cut approximately a 1/2" smaller than the previous layer. Then I added some black trim from Queen and Co. that looked like a ladder, then I laid gold ribbon over that trim so all you can see is the border of the black trim. I put the floss on top of the gold ribbon and tied under where I wanted to place the blowers. Flowers are from my stash, the brad centers are from Spare Parts, the gold and white twine on the side is from Your Next Stamp. Sentiment came from my Unity Stamps.

Card base: kraft
Topped by: Cream Velvet, Onyx mica/metallic, Canelicle Incandescent, Flame mica/metallic, Navy Blue Leather, Silver mica/metallic, Gold mica/metallic, topped by Silk Silver Luster Text.

I stamped the sentiment twice, on the gold mica/metallic then again on the Silk Sliver Luster Text, doing a fussy cut on the Silk Silver Luster Text and layering on top of the Gold mica/metallic using a foam square.

  1. Like the layers. The HIMCR #3 & #2 challenges indicate they do not start until 8/16 which is really the end date & there's no linky for them.

  2. Oh I LOVE how you layered up your papers from the corner. It is definitely a design I plan on doing soon. Thanks for the inspiration.
