Creative Bug on the Loose Challenge #7 - Midway Post

Fallen Hues Colour Challenge #7 - Midway Post.

We are at the midway point for our color challenge using these fabulous fall colors. You need to use at least 3 of these colors for this challenge.

Design - Seeds - Fallen Hues 5

Today I had the Creative Bug on the Loose: Giving Thanks image to work with.

I printed the image then colored it using colored pencils then I layered it onto a piece of burlap. The bling is from Zva Creative and the sentiment is from My Craft Spot's Happy Thanksgiving stamp set.

Dates for this challenge are: November 5 – December 2
Sadly this will be our last challenge.

Prizes for this challenge are:

Five digital images from Creative Bug Digital SnapShots for a person chosen in a random draw based on all eligible entrants.
  • An additional prize of three images will be presented to a random winner who has used a CBD image in their project.  In theory, that means that if you use a CBD image, you could win a total of eight images!
  • A top three will also be chosen (as long as there are a minimum of seven people entering).  Each person in the top three will also get to choose an image from the store.

  • I've caught the bug, how about you?

Creative Bug on the Loose Challenge #7 - Fallen Hues Colour Challenge

It's time for Creative Bug on the Loose Challenge #7 - Fallen  Hues Colour Challenge, we have some beautiful colors to work with for this challenge:

    Design - Seeds: Fallen-Hues5
    Theme Description:
In most of North America, fall is upon us.  I love this time of the year with all the rich colours of the season surrounding us.  This month we want to see a fall themed creation featuring a minimum of three colours from the Design Seeds palette.  So get out all those green, orange and brown tones and show us the beauty and bounty of the fall season.

I had this adorable, "Fall is Here" image to work with.

    Recipe:

Digital image from: Creative Bug on the Loose
    Cardstock
Colored pencils, chalk, markers, whatever you like to color with, I used pencils and chalk on mine.
    Embellishments, adhesives

I printed my image to measure 6" high x 4 1/2" wide then I colored it with my pens and chalks.
I cut the card to measure 7" high x 5 1/2" wide when folded and adhered my image to it.
I added some pearls for the polka dots on her hat and dress/coat. I also added some Liquid Applique to the fur on her hat and a pompom on top. Pompom fringe to the bottom and some jewels up the side.
I printed the sentiment using my computer printer, layered it on top of a scrap from cutting the card, put some jewels in the corners and adhered it to front of card using foam pads.

Now to start our new Challenge, we have a new rule, you are no longer required to use a Creative Bug Digital SnapShot image in your project, but we would sure love it if you do. As an extra incentive, if you do use a CBD image you can enter as many cards/projects as you like, otherwise you are limited to three entries.

Dates for this challenge are: November 5 – December 2
