I was wondering what to do with this little airplane and the clouds, this is the, "Soar Above the Rest" digi from Sweet 'N Sassy Stamps, the first thing that came to my mind was the day my son left his home in Michigan to begin a brand new, unknown life in Kanazawa, Japan. The two of us in the top pic, him and his BFF on the bottom along with a shot of some of his Japanese friends from Michigan.

I'm very proud of my little guy (he's now 30), he spent his entire life working towards learning Japanese and visiting Japan, when he returned from his first visit in 2003, 9 months later he told me that he was going to finish his college education and return to Japan.

Before graduation he had himself set up with a job in Kanazawa through the J.E.T. Program, that is where he met his wife to be. After 2 years on the job, he left Kanazawa to pursue a job in Tokyo.

In October 2011 he brought his girl home for an American wedding which I had a whole lot to do with (planning, making decorations, invitations, the whole 9 yards) then they returned to Kanazawa for a Japanese wedding. They now reside in Tokyo. I have the best son and daughter in law in the whole world.
