It's the first Saturday of the month so this is a color challenge!

The giveaway is $12 Gift Certificate to Sami Stamps

My fave summer color is the blue sky. I was unalbe to get one of the digis for this challange so I went rogue and did my own thing.
Recipe:

Inky Antics Balloon Buddies stamp set
Inky Antics Rainbow Honey Pop Paper Pad
Cardstock
Versa Mark Ink Pad
Black embossing powder
Black Ink
Ranger Tea Dye Distress Ink
Mister Huey's Color Mist - Shine
Colored penecils, pens,m markers, etc.
Floss
Tim Holtz Embossing Folder
Cricut Paper Dolls For Everyday cartridge
Cuttlebug
Heat Gun
Adhesives, foam pads
Chipboard (I used an empty DCWV stack cardboard)

Spray with card stock with Mister Huey's Shine color mist and allow to dry.
Cut greyish card to measure 9" wide x 6" high, score 1/8" on each side of  the middle mark (4.5").
Cut Bazzill Basics to measure 4" wide x 5.5" tall.
Cut blue card so that it measures 3.5" wide x 4.75" tall.
Using musical score embossing folder, run blue card through Cuttlebug.
Ink edges of your cuts with the Tea Dye distress ink.
Cut various sizes of clouds from Cricut Paper Dolls For Everyday cartridge using the sprayed white card stock and adhere to blue card stock.
Using Versa Mark Ink Pad, ink balloon basket stamp and apply black embossing powder, do the same with the balloon stamp. Dry embossing powder with heat gun.
Color images, I wasn't happy with the way the rope turned out so I used some floss to make the ropes. Adhere to chipboard then cut out images and attach balloon to basket on back side using a good glue.
With card laying flat, ink balloon basket stamp with black ink and stamp in middle of card. Following manufacturer's instructions, cut balloon from Honey Pop paper and attach to inside of card. Ink sentiment stamps and stamp inside card, stamping outside sentiment to a piece of blue card. Layer outside sentiment as shown.
Assemble outside of card, using foam pads on balloon and sentiment.
I used some of my recent blog hop and candy winnings on this card: the embossing folder came from Golden Goddess Designs blog candy giveaway, the gray Spectrum Noir marker was from a Lawn Fawn blog hop.
You can't see the embossing very well, sorry about that, it's 103 with a BLAZING sun and too hot to be outside taking pics today so I had to do inside pics.
