The giveaway is TBA!

This was a free cut in Cricut Craft Room a while back called, "Holiday Cards 40".

I cut 5 cards using a different color for each card an saved the negatives. I used the negatives to fill in most of the areas, I used Glazed Dimensions on the flowers and some of the lines. Added jewel centers to the flowers and gol and silver markers on the x's and o's.
Print inside of invitation on velum, cut to fit inside the invitation, I'm not happy with my vellum adhesive runner, the adhesive still shows through.
Then I added a piece of ribbon on the bottom of the invitation and white, red and green twine/floss on the fold.
I also printed the, "Please Join Us" on vellum and framed with a frame cut from gold foil paper.

Please make sure to visit all the blogs along the way and make sure to leave a comment on each one:

  14. Hahaha! Ugly Christmas sweater party...that is awesome! Such a fun card. It looks great...unlike the sweaters that will be at the party. :)

WRT the vellum: I went to a card class and the instructor used a vellum tape and it did not show through. (Although I don't recall if it was the 3M or the Glue Dots version...sorry!) Scroll down a little on this link and you will see the info: http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/forums/techniques-f11/attaching-vellum-t346476.html

    Thanks for sharing your card!

  19. Super cute and fun, Sue. I really like your sweater and your card! I've got the same problem with my vellum adhesives. I just normally try to cover it up with ribbon, brads, buttons or whatever is at hand that will work. After reading through your comments, I'm going to give Glue Dots Vellum a try. This was recommended by "I'm a Little Teapot" above. I followed her link and there seems to be a number of people totally happy with it. Also from what I read, they are not actual glue dots but it is made by them. They are apparently teeny tiny micro dots that don't show up through vellum. Definitely going to give it a try but have to find them first :-)

  20. OMG this is so cute. All I could think about is receiving an old sweater from a family member. You know like getting socks every year from the same aunt or hand knitted sweater from grandma. LOVE THIS!
