Flowers

This week’s http://www.hidinginmycraftroom.com/  Flowers Challenge is being sponsored by http://www.scrappersdelights.com/store/  which is where I got this super cute Summer Breeze digi. She reminds me of my beautiful daughter in law so I made her a small scrapbook that will feature pictures of Miki.

Recipe:

Scrappers Delights Summer Breeze digi stamp.
8.5” x 11” cardstock, cardstock, chipboard.
Quilled Creations Little Girls quilling kit.
Twine.
Pearls, jewels, Cricut’s 3 Birds on Parade, Songbird, Fancy Frames and Ribbons and Rosettes cartridges.
Cinch and Cinch binder.
Colored pencils, chalks, markers, etc.
Foam pads.

I printed Summer Breeze directly onto a pink sheet of 8.5” x 11” cardstock and colored her dress with chalk from The Stencil Collection, her shoes, arms, face, lips, nails and hair with colored pencils.
Quill two tulips following directions in the quilling kit, I made the stems longer than specified so they would reach the bottom of the page. I cut the purple flowers from 3 Birds on Parade and used floss for the stem.
Adhere the pink page to a piece of chipboard with another piece of cardstock on the opposite side (inside), using Cinch, punch holes in all layers. Do this BEFORE cutting the grass so you can see what size to cut the grass and where to place other items you are using.
Cut grass from Ribbons and Rosettes, using the grass borders and layer them together.
Cut name and shadow from Songbird and assemble.
Adhere all pieces to the pink sheet. Use foam pads to adhere grass to front, make sure to adhere all other pieces BEFORE grass.
Use jewels for the blown, “pollen” and add some jewel butterflies. Use pearls for centers of purple flowers, I also used them for the, “dots” on the, “i’s”.
Cut frames from Fancy Frames cartridge, place pictures in place then frame. Add some jewel flowers to frame corners.
