Taking the day off

I swear that I have never seen such a HORRID healthcare system as there is here in this tiny berg in the middle of nowhere. Despite many tries on both my part and the local hospital's central scheduling department, my doctor's office simply could not get the correct paperwork to the hosptial so that they could perform my tests and someone somewhere actually cancelled the most important one which I didn't find out about until I went to have the tests done this morning.

After much yelling I ended up having to go BACK to the imaging department after having already been there and ready to have all tests done this morning. No one will claim responsibility (of course not) so I don't know where the blame lies, maybe between the both of them.

WHY would the doc tell them to NOT ultrasound my kidney? I only have ONE and am a stone former so the 1 I have needs to be kept healthy.

Anyhow, I have a splitting headache and think that I'm going to spending what is left of my day laying on the couch or in bed but first I have to mix up the bagels we need for dinner. I was so busy going back and forth, screaming on the phone and doing my best not tell these people just what I think of them, I totally forgot that I had to take something out for dinner so it's bacon and eggs but don't have bread or bagels on hand. Bagels are faster so they won.

When I was told to go back and have the kidney ultrasound done, I actually went in my pajamas and slippers.
